So you’ve got plans, big ones but you don’t quite know where to start. Never fear my dear because this is where Levo league steps in to assist you in finding your path… seriously the website features a “find your path” section that wants to help you figure out what you are passionate about and the job fields that suits your passion.  Levo league also includes not just career advice but also actual job postings and internships! In addition, as a little motivation to inspire it also features  interviews and articles of people making  big moves in their respective fields (Speaking of Career Advice check out some advice from a 20 something CEO)

This website is for well…..every girl, every 20 something female trying to figure out the murky world of adulthood (basically it’s a life saver). Their articles cover everything from finances, making your first big apartment purchase, starting a business and even relationship advice.

If you love Amy Poehler, you’ll love Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls website. If you don’t love Amy Poehler you’ll still love Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls website. It’s literally loaded with awesomeness in the form of great interviews and articles.  It promotes positivity and mentorship, owning your smarticles (that’s a word, just ask London Tipton)  most recently, one of the smart girls initiatives  is asking actresses different questions on the red carpet that stray away from the superficial “who are you wearing?”. While we do love fashion, women are much more than their looks and ( gasp!) actually, have smart things to say. So, if you are looking for a refreshing spin on things look no further than this website.

This is a personal favorite of mine.  Boss gals in Stilettos focus on empowering female entrepreneurs with tips and resources to help you market your business and let your brand stand out.  But wait there’s more… the website also features a network of other business minded women who encourage each other and support each other’s businesses. Think of it like the sisterhood of the

One way to would describe Create and Cultivate is a giant sisterhood of creative entrepreneurs. It offers helpful and insightful articles on following your passions, growing your business and just living life. Create & Cultivate also features an annual conference held in different cities that brings creative entrepreneurs to share, network and learn from each other. I personally love this website because it has a good blend of motivational, fun and practical articles and is a great way to be inspired

I stumbled across this website recently and it seems to be one of those websites that every #bossgirl needs to have in her corner. With both free and paid membership plans, you have access to articles, advice, and a community to help you succeed in your career and your business

Aside from the shameless self-promotion, I truly believe that Cocktails and Ambition is a website that every #bossgirl needs. Not only because I do my best to write helpful articles but also because I created this website for the girl who knows that there is more to life than a 9- 5 and even if she chooses and loves her 9-5 , Cocktails and Ambition is here to give you the tips you need to grow alongside women who are there to support you, see you succeed and guide you in your journey of being a # woman in progress.

While this is more of a learning platform , This website is a great investment. Lynda is a learning platform provided by LinkedIn with video tutorials on just about anything. If there are 2 things a #bossgirl should be, it’s being prepared and always learning. With Lynda, you can watch videos and tutorials from the comfort of your home while gaining skills that can help you with your hobby or career.

You'll be one of the firsts to hear about new posts, giveaways and announcementsFor Sophia Amoruso, Girlboss is the second company she’s founded “accidentally, ” referring first to her since-shuttered Nasty Gal fashion venture. But her current company is the first she’s founded intentionally, and that now includes a professional network for career-minded millennial women.

Amoruso officially announced the new network at her fifth Girlboss Rally, a recurring event designed to bring together ambitious women for roundtables, fireside chats, and tactical talks. “The feeling of this event is something I wanted to extend beyond two days out of the year. I’ve always wanted to do something we can give our community—and women at large—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.” And while the site has inevitably already drawn comparisons to LinkedIn, it in many ways is hoping to cultivate a very different feel and serve different goals.

You can tell by a profile built with the prompts “I’m good at, ” “I’d like to learn, ” and “I’d like to meet, ” along with space for your Myers-Briggs type and your astrological sign, that Girlboss wants to stand apart from other offerings for professional development and networking—even apart from other offerings for women, like Whitney Wolfe Herd’s Bumble Bizz or member-based coworking spaces like The Riveter or The Wing. “There’s a sense of levity, ” Amoruso shared as she talked about the launch. “This isn’t a stiff, stale professional networking environment.”

Girlboss’ launch comes with the backing and support of some heavy hitters like Ariana Huffington, Bozoma St. John, and Imagine it Forward’s Beth Comstock. The three, along with other successful women, will participate in weekly “digital firesides, ” fielding questions from and offering advice to members. And as for collecting connections, Girlboss wants this to be a process that happens with intention; members will be able to make one request per day, and that request will need to be clearly stated…a far cry from “I’d like to add you to my professional network.”

Girlboss promises to cultivate a new online professional presence that “aims to be a space for everyone from entrepreneurs to gig economy workers to ask questions, exchange ideas, and connect with each other.” Interested users can sign up now and craft a profile in community with other ambitious and driven women, not unlike Amoruso herself. Not only is LinkedIn painfully boring , but it often feels like a sausage party filled with senior level white men. And research backs this up: in 2017, a study by LinkedIn revealed how sexist norms infiltrate the way men and women present themselves on LinkedIn. By analyzing over 141 million profiles in the US, it found women promote themselves and their successes a lot less than men do.

In a bid to give women a better professional platform, Girlboss CEO and Founder Sophia Amoruso launched the company’s first-ever, free social networking site — professional networking 2.0, dubbed as a “LinkedIn for women .”

On Girlboss’ new professional site, which is available in the US, women entrepreneurs, creatives, and freelancers can connect directly with like-minded peers and notable industry leaders. Its members already include the likes of Jen Rubio, Payal Kadakia, and Bozoma St. John, who are participating in a Q&A session as part of the platform’s launch.

Amoruso built this platform after finding out just 23 percent of millennials are on LinkedIn , reinforcing Girlboss’ belief that the traditional resume is antiquated and doesn’t serve today’s generation. “We are so much more than our experience, trading on our personalities, ideas, and creativity in ways we didn’t years ago, ” Girlboss stated in its press release.

Unlike LinkedIn, Girlboss sees the member profiles as an updated, more comprehensive take on the standard resume. Users can share their work experience alongside a snappy fill-in-the-blank bio, their horoscope reading, and their favorite “Girlboss moment.”

Although there’s no denying the odds are against women when it comes to VC funding , discrimination in the workplace , and pay parity , we have to question whether women-oriented projects like Girlboss’ professional networking site are helpful or hurtful in achieving gender equality .

Another example of this is the multitude of women-oriented events that have launched in order to fight gender parity in tech. Events like these seek to create a safe space, free from discrimination and with a focus on women-specific challenges. But some have raised concerns these
